Another great story from Rick Riordan
The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan (Book 1 in the Kane Chronicles series)
Just started reading the first book in Riordan's new series! Have been looking forward to this all summer! This series incorporates Egyptian mythology, gods and goddesses in another exciting adventure story. Loved The Percy Jackson series and am expecting to love this series too!

As Simple As It Seems by Sarah Weeks
Another great story from Sarah Weeks who came to visit Liberty Corner in 2009! In this story, a small for her age 11 year old Verbena, spends a summer learning about friendships and family and who she really is. In the process, she meets a younger boy named Pooch who is also dealing with family issues. Verbena, Pooch and an old rundown rowboat have an adventure that helps them discover the most important thing in the world - family and friends! Weeks once again gives us a story with characters you will grow to care about and a message of optimism despite your situation. Highly recommended!
If you liked So B It, another great novel from Sarah Weeks, you will also enjoy As Simple As It Seems.
